Synthetic Turf Brushing

Although synthetic turf is remarkably low maintenance, regular maintenance is essential to extend its life and maintain optimum performance. Over time, regular use can cause the infill material to compact, resulting in a harder playing surface that increases the risk of injury to athletes. Decompaction is essential to restore the natural resilience of the turf, improve safety and playability and maintain its aesthetic appeal.

Frequent brushing or raking with spring tines is an effective way to prevent compaction. Initially, this process helps to remove debris, preventing it from becoming embedded in the turf backing. It also loosens and evenly distributes infill material. Grooming also keeps the turf fibres upright, preventing matting and ensuring that the pitch remains visually attractive.

Redexim offers a wide range of brushing solutions tailored for both decompaction and grooming. Our range includes powered brushes, trailed brushes and hybrid systems that combine brushes and rakes, all designed to meet the specific needs of your synthetic sports field.
